Changing Direction is an educational group program for partners who are physically, sexually and/or emotionally abusive towards their partners. The program is sponsored by the Family Counselling Centre of Cornwall and United Counties.
The goal of the 16 week group session is to help the partner stop the abuse by encouraging non-controlling, non-violent and respectful ways of relating to their partner. There is also support for the partner who has suffered the abuse.
The referrals are received from the Probation and Parole Services and the criminal court justice system . We are now acceptingt self and agency referrals.

|This program provides free and confidential individual and/or group
supportive counselling to women who have been or are victims of violence
in a relationship. Violence can be physical, emotional, psychological,
sexual or financial in nature.
Employee Assistance Program
An Employee Assistance Program is a service offering confidential professional
assistance for problems related to alcohol and drug abuse, emotional,
personal, family and financial difficulties which affect an employee's
work and/or personal life.
Who is eligible? Employees and their families employed by organizations
that have purchased counselling services from the Family Counselling
